BuilderStar is a full-service boutique firm staffed with project management, engineering and finance professionals in Real Estate Development. The firm is located in Houston, Texas but currently manages projects all across Texas.

Steve Zhao, the CEO of the firm and a licensed Professional Engineer and a PhD in structural engineering, has 19 years of experience managing residential and commercial projects and handling various engineering needs. 

BuilderStar is a family-run business as Steve is joined by his wife Angelina Zhao with 15 years of experience in financial analysis & modeling and accounting. It is Steve and Angelina who make strategies and handle day-to-day operations on your project - not some new associate.

With our team member's proven track record in residential & commercial development, we are not afraid of tackling even the most complex and challenging projects. We also welcome various development needs such as retail, park, recreation and hotel, etc.

We are a small firm that handles only a specific number of projects each year with specific criteria. Our evaluation of the project is based on your best interest, and not for our fees. Our goal is to bring 100% success to each of the projects we take on.
